Frequently Asked Questions
Troubleshooting
How do I use K-8 Websites resources?
Using K-8 Websites is very easy.  Choose your grade level, scan for the lesson you would like to use, click on the picture, and your lesson begins.  It's that easy!   To print out the corresponding worksheet, simply click on the worksheet link, wait for the worksheet to load, and then print.   K-8 Websites has worked very hard to make navigating and using our resources very easy.  For further information, you can view our K-8 Websites, Inc. Users Manual by clicking here:  K-8 Websites User Manual.
Do I need to be a teacher to join K-8 Websites?
No!  K-8 Websites resources can be used by parents, students, and of course, teachers.  Our lessons and practice achievement tests are ideally suited for homeschooled students.  The only requirements to use our resources are a connection to the internet, a Flash Player, and Adobe Reader.
Can I pay for membership using a purchase order?
We can only process a purchase order with a K-8 Websites Site Membership.   Please fill out and print the enrollment form and mail it to the address above with a purchase order number.  You can also fill out an online quote.  The membership will not be processed until we receive a purchase order number.  Once we receive a purchase order number, you will be emailed your site password.  You can begin using our resources immediately while we wait for payment.   However, net payment must be received within 90 days to continue using our resources.
Can I use my account from home as well as school?
Our resources are internet based so you can use them from any computer with an internet connection.  We suggest, however, that you remember your membership password to gain access to all our resources.
How do I upgrade to a site membership?
You can easily upgrade to a site membership by visiting our payment center.  You must be a basic member in order to qualify for the upgrade price.
When does my membership expire?
At K-8 Websites your membership never expires!  You pay a one-time membership fee and you are free to use our resources for as long as you like.  There are never any renewal fees or additional charges.  As a member, you enjoy access to all our K-8 Website lessons, worksheets, teacher tools, parochial lessons, and discounted workbooks.  With a site membership, you also receive full access to our K-8 Practice Achievement Test Center and K-8 Computer Lab resources.  In addition, new lessons are added on a monthly basis for our members.  That means that you keep receiving more benefits without any additional charges.  It's the K-8 Websites Difference!
Can I use a personal check as payment?
Yes!  We cannot accept personal checks online, but you can fill out and print the enrollment form and mail it to the address above with your personal or school check.
I mailed my payment but my account has not been set up yet!
Please allow seven days from when we receive your payment to access our resources.  You will be emailed with your password information as soon as possible.  If it has been longer than 10 days since you sent payment, please use the "Contact Customer Service" link above to inform us.
It keeps telling me my password is incorrect!
Before contacting us, please make sure that you are not using capital letters and that you have the correct password.  Our passwords are case sensitive which means that they will not work unless you enter the password in lowercase letters.  If you are entering the password correctly and it is still not accepting it, please contact Customer Service.
My school filtering system won't let me access the payment center.
Some filtering systems will not recognize our payment center because it is a secured site (https).  If you are having difficulties accessing our resources, please click on this Filtering Tips link.
A link inside the presentation is not working.
At K-8 Websites, we strive to make sure that all our resources are working properly.  As our site grows bigger, it has been increasingly difficult to find every error or broken link.  If you come across an error or broken link, please fill out our Error Form
The PDF worksheet is blank, what can I do?
We would suggest you re-install the free Adobe Reader.  If you still have trouble after installing the Adobe Reader, you can also download any PDF file to your computer from its webpage link, so that you can view it directly in Acrobat Reader.
1) Right-click the link to the PDF file, then choose Save Target As from the pop-up menu.
2) In the Save As dialog box, specify a name and location for the PDF file, then click Save.
3) Start up Acrobat Reader and open the downloaded .pdf file.
